The Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) is almost here, and our family is excited to celebrate this joyful season of thanksgiving, harvest, and dwelling with God. This year will be extra special as we take our celebration outside in a Sukkah (temporary shelter) instead of our usual indoor tent.

The Feast of Tabernacles reminds us of Israel’s journey through the wilderness and how God provided every step of the way. It’s a time of rejoicing, family, community, and reflecting on God’s faithfulness.

Here’s how we plan to celebrate this year, and we’d love for family and friends to join us for some of the festivities:

🌿 Day 1 & Day 7 (High Sabbaths / Feast Days):We’ll gather for a potluck-style dinner featuring lamb kabobs, rice, salad, bread, and plenty of dessert. The kids are especially excited to roast marshmallows, make s’mores, and end the night stargazing together.

🎣 Sunday:Fishing day! We’ll eat what we catch and enjoy a full day of food, fellowship, and fun outdoors.

📚 All Week:Since we homeschool, the kids will be taking their lessons outside in the booth (Sukkah), reminding us daily that this is a season of dwelling with God in simplicity and joy.

🍽️ Last Day of Sukkot:We’ll close the feast with a big family meal and hope everyone can join us to celebrate the blessings of the harvest season and the joy of God’s provision.

This feast is a time to rejoice, rest, and remember. It’s about celebrating the harvest—both physical and spiritual—and looking forward to the time when God will tabernacle with us forever.

We hope you’ll join us in making memories, sharing meals, and rejoicing before the Lord together.

📖 “Celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles for seven days after you have gathered the produce of your threshing floor and your winepress. Be joyful at your festival…” — Deuteronomy 16:13–14
