Beware of Roblox: Protecting Our Kids Online

Let’s talk about something that’s been heavy on my heart lately: Roblox.
Now, don’t get me wrong—on the surface, Roblox looks like just another fun gaming platform. Our kids love it, and for them it’s a way to play, create, and connect. But I’ve been noticing more and more that not everything on Roblox is what it seems.

There are games on there that are flat-out inappropriate for children. And even scarier? Predators have been caught using the platform to do things that should never, ever be associated with kids. As much as I hate to say it, there are people out there who do not have good intentions. This seem to have been a problem as early as a 4 years ago, but here are some newer articles: People Magazine https://people.com/roblox-hit-with-hundreds-of-child-predator-lawsuits-11791567
That’s why we have to stay woke. We can’t let technology babysit our children. I know how easy it is to hand them a device—“Here, take this phone and let me have a moment.” Believe me, I’ve been there. But we have to ask ourselves: is a moment of peace worth the safety of our children?

As parents, we’ve been chosen to nurture, guide, and protect our little ones. That means being vigilant about what games they’re playing, who they’re talking to online, and how much freedom we’re giving them in digital spaces. Technology is a tool, but it is not a replacement for adult supervision.
So today, let this be a reminder:💛 Check in on what your kids are playing.💛 Ask questions about who they’re interacting with.💛 Set boundaries with their devices.
It’s not always easy, but our kids are worth the effort.
Stay woke. Stay vigilant. Nurture. Guide. Protect.
Peace, love, light, and patience ✨
