Hey there, friend!

Welcome to Our Humble Nest, where the chaos never stops, and neither does the love. If you’re new here, let me introduce you to the hodgepodge of personalities that make up our family. It’s been a wild ride, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

So, how did this all begin? Well, my husband and I met in the military back in 2011/2012. Total opposites, but somehow we clicked. Together since 2013, married in 2017, and the craziness hasn’t slowed down since. We’ve been through it all—love, chaos, even a bit of toxicity—but we’ve learned, grown, and we’re still figuring it out every day.

Me (Mom): Born in 1986, I’m a Florida Panhandle girl—the oldest of four, with a soft heart and a sassy streak. I’ve always loved reading, writing, and getting creative, whether it’s through my beauty and skincare shop, BellasNatural Beautique & Nailz, or my Etsy store, Artsy Creationz Digital, where I design paint kits and downloadable images. I’m a stay-at-home mom and wife, always learning about life, love, and myself. Finding my voice is still a work in progress, but I’ve got plenty of sweet sarcasm to share along the way.

Dad: My husband, born in 1990, is from Central Florida—he’s the fifth of seven kids and the most outgoing guy you’ll ever meet. He can make friends anywhere and usually does! He works 12-hour days, six days a week, running his handyman business, Piece of Mind Handyman Services in Tampa, to support our big crew. Stern but full of charm, he’s learning to be more open to different opinions (though he’ll always be the boss around here, haha). Music is his passion, and he’s got a creative side too.

And then there are the kids… all 8 (soon to be 10) of them!

Bugg (2013): Our oldest, 11 years old and already thinking about the future. He wants to be a gaming engineer or something tech-related—he’s always tinkering with gadgets. He’s got a soft spot for graphic novels and scary stories, and he’s the best big brother, always looking out for his siblings (especially when Dad’s at work).

Duke (2014): Age 10, and definitely our future lawyer or politician. He’s got an opinion on everything and will debate you on it, too! No-nonsense and determined, Duke has a passion for music, dancing, and science. He’s always full of energy and never backs down from a challenge.

Bubby (2017): Our first natural baby, and he made his entrance in style at almost 43 weeks! This kid was born ready—super smart and always claiming to be a genius. He’s got a sweet tooth (like his mama) and a love for Michael Jackson and dancing. He’s also a picky eater, which makes meal times interesting!

Bear & Bella (2018): Our first set of twins, and boy, are they a pair. Bear is the quiet one, shy but so funny and silly when he opens up. We’re still figuring out what he loves, but he’s definitely smart and playful. Bella, on the other hand, is a firecracker—outgoing, smart, and full of sass. She loves reading and coloring, and pink and purple are her go-to colors. My mini-me for sure!

Wani (2021): Our water baby! Wani was born at home in the most beautiful natural water birth experience. He’s all about following his big brothers and can’t wait to go to school like them. He’s obsessed with Peppa Pig and loves the color orange (not sure where that came from, but we’re rolling with it!).

Jelly (2022): Wani’s twin and his little shadow. Whatever Wani does, Jelly is right there behind him. But she’s got her own thing too—she loves Bluey and has a thing for the color purple. She’s a bit sassier than her big sister Bella and keeps us all on our toes!

Meek (2023): My littlest love, and a total mama’s boy. He’s the definition of a “titty baby”—spoiled rotten but oh-so-sweet. I’m cherishing every moment with him because they grow up too fast!

Judeah & Joirdyn (2024): Our next adventure… stay tuned!

So there you have it—our family, a blend of personalities that sometimes mesh perfectly and sometimes clash with a bang. But no matter what, there’s always love. This life may be chaotic, but it’s full of laughter, learning, and endless memories, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Thanks for stopping by and meeting the crew! I hope you stick around because there’s always something exciting happening in Our Humble Nest.

Until next time!

Shaquilla
